Rebecca Spruce

I am a highly experienced primary school teacher of 25 years offering tuition for KS1/KS2 and KS3 aged children, with a particular emphasis on maths, reading, SPAG and writing.

I have taught in a range of schools and have experience teaching in all KS1 and KS2 year groups with particular expertise in working in year 6. I have been a leading maths teacher, and led whole school maths, English and science throughout my career. Having worked in a number of different schools, I am skilled in teaching a wide range of children with vastly different backgrounds and needs.

I am a very successful tutor who has worked with local schools to deliver and teach program post Covid, and run a number of booster sessions in English and Maths to support children in the run-up to SATS and the transition to high school. I am also a passionate governor at a local high school.

One of my strengths is my ability to build and foster positive relationships with children of all ages. My teaching style allows children to learn in a fun, safe and secure environment and blossom with confidence. Building positive, kind relationships has a huge impact on children’s learning and progress.

I am a Mum to two children and many pets; play cricket in a local women’s team, support Manchester City, sing in a choir, enjoy the arts, and love tea, cake and a good chat!
